Meet Eujenny
I am a qualified and accredited Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. I have over 18 years’ experience of working therapeutically with families, couples, adolescents, children and groups within the Local Authorities, NHS, Youth Justice System and voluntary sector I worked with a range of issues, for example, parental mental unwellness, abuse, self-harm and depression in young people, school exclusion, young people being cared for outside the family home, and social and emotional development.
I am a Jamaican born British woman, who comes with a wealth of lived experience as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, carer and friend. I pride myself on being able to build rapport and work with people from diverse backgrounds. I’ll work with you and your family, be it centred on sibling relationships, mother and daughter relationships, couples or parenting.
My Approach
I offer Systemic Psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups. This approach recognises the interconnectedness of relationships, where each person may experience the same situation differently.
Drawing on my training as a psychotherapist, social worker and my own lived experiences, I consider how relationship dynamics, work or school pressures, illness and many other life events, can affect well-being and connection.
I work collaboratively and with empathy to help you recognise your strengths, navigate challenges, and reconnect with your authentic self. My sessions are shaped by your needs and may include techniques such as reflective or scaling questioning, genograms, and timelines to help explore your story and understand how past experiences may shape present difficulties.
Together, we will explore complex emotions and perspectives to foster deeper understanding within relationships. This process supports individuals, couples and families in building on their strengths to create meaningful change.

Family therapy allows us to explore issues from a historical and generational context. In our sessions I will work collaboratively to support you to express and explore difficult thoughts and feelings, gaining an understanding of the challenges facing your family, working together to enable meaningful changes to be made.

There is no manual which teaches us to be good parents. Being a parent can bring with it an enormous amount of challenges including behavioral challenges, societal and family expectations and managing multiple roles. I have a wealth of experience of working with parents and I will offer a space, so that all the complexities and challenges of being a parent can be explored.
-
As a mature therapist I have a wealth of life experience caring and supporting people as they go through the significant life transitions.
Issues such as Dementia and the Menopause can impact on family life and put pressure on relationships. I will offer a space where these issues can be explored, understood and managed in a way which is meaningful to all involved.

Couples dynamics can bring about a range of issues from day to day conflicts and disagreements to communication problems to trust issues and children rearing. I will support you both to get to a place where you are able to actively listen to each other, acknowledge the others perspective and learn new skills to enable you to navigate the challenges facing you.

Cultural issues include race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion and socioeconomic status. All are important to how we understand ourselves and others, influencing our experience of the world.
We will explore together how these factors may be impacting your relationship with yourself and others. Having a deeper understanding around cultural issues (although these are fluid and evolving) can support us to understand the behaviour of others and ourselves within the context of relationship on a micro and macro level.
-
There are various different forms of relationships; family, friendships, romantic and work. We must also remember that we have a relationship with ourselves.
Healthy relationships can offer support, companionship and high self-esteem, allowing us to feel safe and nurtured, therefore being able to flourish and grow into our authentic selves. Unhealthy relationships can have the opposite impact, leaving us feeling misunderstood, unheard, unseen and stressed within any personal or wider context.
Within sessions we will work to understand how you will be able to build healthy relationships with yourself and others
